Pruning

All pruning is undertaken to Australian Standard 4373 where possible, and in line with Arb AUS/NZ Minimum Industry Standard 308 "Tree pruning". Pruning can be undertaken to achieve a number of effects on approved and unregulated trees:

Removal

Whilst it is always preferable to retain a tree there are a number of reasons a property owner may want to remove an approved or unregulated tree. For example the tree has been assessed as hazardous, the tree is an invasive species and is a poor use of limited space, or needs to be removed for land development. ACT Arbor can safely remove your tree with appropriate crew and equipment - wether that involves a climbing arborist, an Elevated Work Platform (Cherry Picker), or even the use of a crane.

Bracing

ACT Arbor uses Yale dynamic bracing™ to reduce the levering/ wind loading forces on large unions. This system can be used to reduce the risk of failure of these unions with load ratings of up to 10 tonnes. In the event of a failure they may also prevent damage to underlying structures by causing the failed branch to get hung up on an unfailed attachment point.
